lol, when i was looking through the 4 nations, i saw an OC who has blue fire, just like mine XD and i read through yours and they both like waterbending better than firebending
although my OC, Mari doesnt know how to surf, maybe Takara-sensei would teach her ;D lol
Also, maybe she could have a skill (an advanced form of lightning bending) that she developed on her own, where she maybe makes a ball of lightning in her hand, can sustain it for several minutes, and can throw it like it was a softball? Just a thought, I don't mean to be "another fan with ideas".....
As per her dad he walked out on her and her mom and two younger brothers. He hated her bending when he first found out, he especially despised the fact that her fire was so different. But he tolerated it until a certain 'accident' caused by her bending, then he walked out on their family. Takara has grown to hate her father in many ways, but still feels like she is to blame for him walking out on them. So she has sworn to never use her firebending. This image depicts her struggling with herself as a young adult mostly, and how she's changed from loving her bending to having this confused hatred towards it.
And I dont want to overload her with alternate abilities, she does however know the basics of chi-blocking and has had to use it in the past on the bullies at school who teased her for not wanting to bend. She also picked up quite a bit of regular hand-to-hand combat skills and knows how to defend herself without having to bend.
Seriously? She can chi-block? Man, she has a lot of traits from some of my characters, but fit all into one person.... you are good. It's also cool to know that I'm not the only person who thought of the bender/chi-blocker possibility.
Yes she can chi-block but she's no master like Amon's henchmen or Ty Lee. She's sort of a novice, she would much rather fight just with her fists and legs it's less deceptive and more straightforward which she likes. ^^'
